THE FRANCE FOUNDATION PRESENTING AT THE ALLIANCE FOR CME 35th ANNUAL CONFERENCE ON EFFECTIVE COLLABORATION AMONG DIVERSE COMMUNITIES OF PRACTICE
Old Lyme, CT – The France Foundation, a recognized leader in accredited continuing medical education, announces presentation of a breakout session at The Alliance for CME 35th Annual Conference. The session entitled Effective Collaboration among Diverse Communities of Practice to Address a National Health Priority will describe criteria for choosing collaborators and outline the basis for a multilevel collaboration using a case-based example.
Collaborations have become increasingly important to improve the success of CME initiatives. However, the benefits gained depend upon the contribution of each collaborator. The ACCME’s updated accreditation criteria encourage providers to build bridges with other stakeholders through collaboration and cooperation to improve the overall impact of the CME activity and to improve in closing the quality gaps that exist. The educational initiative entitled PROTECT™ formed through collaborative efforts is comprised of multimodal activities designed to provide health care professionals with important clinical information focusing on improving immunization rates. Educational strategies range from online interactive resources to live educational events and enduring materials. Through utilizing this example of a multimodal, curriculum-based initiative, the presenters will demonstrate the effectiveness of a multilevel collaboration on improving clinician competency and performance regarding immunization rates.
